Voici une série de petites études sur l'Ouest Sauvage américain, réalisée pour me préparer à un atelier que je devais animer sur ce thème auprès de l'Accueil de Loisirs Tout Chatou à Mallemort.
N'étant pas spécialement passionné par le sujet, et n'aimant le genre "western" que lorsqu'il est mêlé avec le genre "science-fiction" (je citerais Cowboy Bebop, Firefly/ Serenity, Space Adventure Cobra, et Westworld pour illustrer mes préférences en la matière), je dois avouer que je connaissais pas grand chose au sujet !
L'occasion de dessiner un peu de nouvelles choses pour moi, et surtout de me documenter pour en apprendre un peu plus ! Comme par hasard, je me suis vite rendu compte qu'Hollywood a comme à son habitude ré-écrit beaucoup de choses, ha ha ha ! XD
Découvrant à cette occasion la vraie vie des vrais cow boys et des hommes et des femmes de cette époque, j'avoue avoir été finalement enthousiasmé de travailler sur ce sujet :)

Here is a serie of little studies dealing with the Wild West I have realized in order to prepare myself for a workshop on this topic I had to lead for ALSH Tout Chatou at Mallemort.
Being not especcially passioned by this topic and only enjoying the "western" genre when associated with sci-fi genre (I will just mention Cowboy Bebop, Firefly/ Serenity, Space Adventure Cobra, and Westworld to illustrate my own preferences), I must confess that I didn't know many things about the topic.
So it was the opportunity to draw new things for me, and to document myself to learn more about all that ! Obviously, I rapidly got that Hollywood had as usual rewritten a lot of things about it, ha ha ha ! XD
Discovering the real life of real cow boys, and the life of men and women of this time, I have eventually been very enthusiastic to work on this topic :)
