Wanna play ?

Lara Croft is one of my favourite characters, because she's the incarnation of the typical adventurer, declined to a woman. Not really new, but a good idea. Its commercial success seems to confirm it.

Though my interest for the character, I've never been lucky with her. I drew her three times, and I have not been happy with any opus : (

This one is a piece I had done in 2010 to wish a happy birthday to a blogspot collegue. But I wasn't really happy with it, and wanted to work on it again, with a posture alterated, and a new colorisation. Finally, I found the time to do it. It's not perfect. The guns are lame and the torso seems too much twisted again, but it's better than the previous version, and I told to myself "why not show it, though ?". I'll try to correct an other piece of Lara I had done, and I'll blog it later. Being very likeable to draw, she'll come back one day on this blog, anyway, but with a "true" drawing, which means with a scenery and so on. And with real guns ! :)

Lara Croft est l'un de mes personnages préférés, car c'est l'incarnation typique de l'aventurier, décliné en mode féminin. Pas vraiment nouveau, mais bonne idée quand même. Son succès commercial semble le confirmer.

Malgré mon intérêt, je n'ai jamais eu de chance avec le personnage. Je l'ai dessinée trois fois et n'ai jamais été heureux avec aucun des opus : (

J'avais fait ce dessin en 2010 pour souhaiter un bon anniversaire à un collègue de blogspot. Mais je n'étais pas satisfait par ce que j'avais fait et je voulais le retravailler, avec des changements dans la posture et une nouvelle mise en couleurs. J'ai finalement trouvé le temps de le faire. Ce n'est pas parfait. Les pistolets sont mauvais et le torse me paraît encore trop tourné, mais c'est meilleur que la précédente version, et je me suis dit "pourquoi ne pas la montrer quand même, après tout ?". Je tâcherai de corriger une autre dessin que j'avais fait de Lara, et de la reposter plus tard. Vu qu'elle est très agréable à dessiner, elle reviendra de toute façon tôt ou tard sur ce blog, mais cette fois-ci avec un "vrai" dessin, c'est à dire avec un décor et tout et tout. Et avec de vrais flingues ! :)
