A friend of mine's daughter study in Canada. One day, her mother said to me :"I don't know if I'll make a quick leap to Canada" (I don't know if you can say that in english, this is a litteral translation, and of course it means "to do a quick trip" to Canada), and she added "because I need to take a little impulse, it's not like to go to the next door..."
It made me laugh and inspired me this silly drawing. In french, to say "to take one's impulse", we say "prendre son élan", but the funny thing is that the term "élan" means at the same time "impulse", and also "elk" or "moose" as canadian say ! :) )
The second funny thing is that everybody knows that you can find elks in Canada !
So she litterally said she needed to take an elk to go to Canada for a quick leap.... :) ) ) ) )
I imagined what could be an elk's reaction if he had heard that. He surely would have felt surprised, and a little insecure ! :) ) ) ) )
