Don't miss Zarafa !

Je voudrais vous inviter à aller voir le merveilleux Zarafa, de Rémi Besançon et Jean-Christophe Lie. Tout d'abord, parce qu'un de mes amis a travaillé dessus, ensuite parce que c'est un fabuleux conte animé inspiré par la véritable histoire de la première girafe de France. Zarafa raconte l'histoire de l'amitié entre une girafe orpheline offerte au Roi Charles X par le Pacha d'Egypte, et Maki, un petit garçon bien décidé à la ramener sur sa terre natale. Pendant leur voyage, Maki et Zarafa vont rencontrer de nombreux aventuriers comme Hassan, le prince touareg, Malaterre, un aéronaute français, Bouboulina, la princesse des pirates grecs, et moults personnages à l'instar de Moon et Sun, deux vaches tibétaines !

Zarafa est particulièrement bien fait en termes d'écriture et de création des personnages. Je dirais que c'est un film animé qui raconte réellement une histoire, avec beaucoup d'émotion, d'humour, d'aventure, de suspense, d'action, et de nombreuses références. N'hésitez pas à aller le voir si ce n'est déjà fait, et ne le ratez surtout pas quand il sortira dans votre pays ! :)

I'd like to invite you to go and discover the wonderful Zarafa, from Rémi Besançon and Jean-Christophe Lie. First, because a friend of mine has worked on it, second, because it is a beautiful animated tale inspired by the real story of the first giraffe of France. Zarafa tells the story of the friendship between an orphan giraffe offered to the King Charles X by the Pacha of Egypt, and Maki, a little boy dedicated to bring her back to the land of her origin. During their trip, Maki and Zarafa will meet a lot of adventurers like Hassan, the prince tuareg, Malaterre, a french aeronaut, Bouboulina, the princess of greek pirates, and a lot of other characters like Moon and Sun, two tibetans cows !

Zarafa is especcially well done in terms of writing and characterization. I would say this is an animated film which really tells a story, with a lot of emotion, humor, adventure, suspense, action, and a lot of references, too. Don't hesitate to go and watch it if you still haven't seen it, and don't miss it when it comes out in your country ! :)
