October is the month dedicated to the campaigns against cancer, especcially against breast cancer 8 (
Each year, a fundraiser for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City is organized by Mr Jason Gavin. Mr Gavin organizes an auction of original drawings, and the benefits go to the research.
It is named the Marla Bea Benefit, and the sole rule is to draw a strong female character, and to use the color pink, or the pink ribbon !
This year, I sent a Star Sapphire Wonder Woman ! As some of you may know, during the Blackest Night crossover, Diana has been transformed into a Sapphire ! For what I understand, a Star Sapphire is nearly the same thing as a Green Lantern, but the source of her power is love, and not will. All the Star Saphire are women :)
So it was perfect for the Marla Bea Benefit !

I'm not totally satisfied by my performance. I was in late and have been obliged to work very fast. I don't like the way I have dealt with the foreshortening on this one.

Cela s'appelle le Marla Bea Benefit, et la seule règle est de dessiner un personnage féminin fort, et d'utiliser soit la couleur rose, soit le ruban rose !
Cette année, j'ai décidé d'envoyer une Wonder Woman Star Stapphire ! Certains d'entre vous savent peut être que durant le crossover Blackest Night, Diana a été transformée en Sapphire ! Pour autant que je comprenne, une Star Sapphire est la même chose qu'un Green Lantern, mais la source de son pouvoir est l'amour, et non la volonté. Tous les Star Sapphire sont des femmes :)
C'était donc tout indiqué pour le Marla Bea Benefit !

Je ne suis pas tout à fait satisfait par ma performance. J'étais en retard et j'ai du travailler très vite. Je n'aime pas la façon dont j'ai traité les raccourcis sur celui-là.
